Well hello there!
Hello there, my name is Cara Waters and I write Gourmet Chick. I am an Australian journalist who currently lives in London but travels the world. When I started blogging I was working as a lawyer and anonymity was pretty important to me. As time has gone on keeping my name anonymous has become more and more difficult. It is also less essential now I work as journalist, an area in which blogging is accepted and even (shock horror) encouraged.

| So I may not be anonymous anymore but I am keeping this as my profile picture |
As you may have noticed Gourmet Chick has had a makeover. I hope the blog is easier to use and nicer to look at as well. I’ve added a set of buttons in the top right corner where you can contact and follow me or you can just click on these links to like Gourmet Chick on Facebook or follow me on Twitter.
I’ve also added some advertising. I know some of you are opposed to advertising but I have to pay for these makeovers somehow. I can guarantee that any advertising does not and never will affect the editorial content of this blog and that it will always be obviously advertising. I am also always completely upfront about any freebies I receive. The integrity of this blog is very important to me.
Let me know what you think.

Liking the makeover, Cara

It looks great.
And I cannot imagine why anyone would be opposed to advertising. I suppose if you disapprove that much you could go through life not buying any papers or magazines and only watching the BBC …. Even the Guardian WoM has advertising, never seen any complaints about that!
Cara… I love the Chick, erm, the one between the words Gourmet and Chick
Welcome to the club!! Will be interesting to see how the ads work out for you!
