  4. Movida is fantastic after a late night out. Love the late hours.

  5. My favourite restaurant in Melbourne would have to be Vue De Monde – lives up to the hype. Not only in food, but in service and overall experience.

Would love to go to Taste festival to try out some other great restaurants!!

  6. Saint Crispin. All of the dishes are excellent with the most finely balanced flavours and great, professional but friendly service. Eating at the bar and watching the kitchen in action is mesmerising.

  7. Movida acqui is my favourite…never disappoints…

  10. There are just too many favourites to list here, but one thing I know, I’d love to add on to my list of favourites by tasting all 14 restaurants that are offered at Taste of Melbourne (I’m leaving Burch & Purchese out as it is already a must have, and it’s not a restaurant). Fingers crossed for free tickets!

  11. Current fav is Lupino 41 Little Collins Street. Beautiful Italian food. I have been twice in the last month, and am feeling like I was Italian in a former life.

P.S I am running City to Sea on Sunday 17th November and there would be no better way to recover / replenish than by attending Taste of Melbourne and sampling all the fine produce. Please pick me!!

  15. *sweats* wow, this is a really tough decision. Melbourne has its obvious star performers, but I’m gonna pick a real diamond-in-the-rough – Old Kingdom on Smith St in Collingwood, home of the classic ‘duck trilogy’, AKA the best damn peking duck in Melbourne.

  16. SOJO (South of Johnson) in Collingwood.

  17. Can’t go past the original Movida….never disappoints!

  18. So many fantastic meals have been had at so many places but most memorable would have to be Estelle’s

  19. There is a great indian restaurant in Cbd called Chilli padi. I have been there a number of times for breakfast and dinner – both of which were amazing. (most menus have a token veg option but its usually bland/very standard). At Chilli padi they use such interesting spices that i never feel like i am missing out. The prices are very reasonable and you dont have to book weeks ahead. i highly recommend it!

  27. To fill my comfort food cravings and to just enjoy one of life’s best pleasures, I love to go to +39 on Little Bourke. The pizzas are second to none, and the pasta tastes like it came straight from my Nonna’s kitchen. The buzz in the atmosphere and the friendly Italian staff make you feel like you sitting in a little restaurant in Naples.
